It has at least as important role on website than Google Analytics which is a basic element on the website. With marketing automation you can target your messages better and personalize them for each individuals. With marketing automation you know what website visitors are really doing on your site.

Having more visitors on your website is not enough – You also need to pay attention what is happening on your website. Do you get conversions from your website visitors? Conversion optimizations means editing your webpage the way it generates more leads compared to the amount of website visitors. 

Think first what is actually the goal of your website? What kind of conversions you want to create? Do you want to get more contact requests, event registrations, material downloads of more leads to sales? You can use CTAs (call-to-actions) which help a website visitor to act the way they’ll go towards your goal. For example verbs like download, sign up or try work well as CTAs. Make sure your website has CTAs in different spots.
