Use Advanced Find when you need a complex database search.
The Advanced Find in the Vine client for Windows has two modes: the Standard and the Extended modes. The Advanced Find in the Vine Web client has only one mode which is similar to the Extended mode of the Windows client.
The Standard mode permits you to search for objects All information in Vine is stored in the server database as named objects of different types. Examples: a company, a person, an event, a sales case. applying logical conditions to object fields and connections Vine objects are linked to each other by connections. Vine shows an object together with links to all objects directly connected to it.. With either AND or OR operation, you can combine up to 10 conditions into a single search criterion.
The Extended mode permits you to build even more powerful searches. You can freely combine elementary logical conditions by AND/OR operations and you can search for objects having a specific connection to all found objects.
You construct your search criteria in the Advanced Find dialog and execute them clicking the Find button.
The search results are placed into a table view and you can narrow down the results by filtering out unneeded objects. From the table view, you can drag results to any existing folder A folder in Vine is a named group of objects. or create a new folder.
