Editing an Object

To edit an object All information in Vine is stored in the server database as named objects of different types. Examples: a company, a person, an event, a sales case. you need to open its edit form. There are many ways to open the edit form, so in any situation you can choose the most convenient one.

To open an object's edit form:

• If the object is already open in the view area, you can simply double-click in its basic information pane its name and the object’s edit form will be shown.

• Alternatively, you can always right-click an object anywhere and choose Edit from the shortcut menu.

Note that right-click works for connected Vine objects are linked to each other by connections. Vine shows an object together with links to all objects directly connected to it. objects also. This way you can open the object edit form even for the connected object.

In the Edit form enter the changed information and click Save. Vine automatically adds the name of the user who saved or changed the object and the time when the object was saved or changed. This data cannot be modified by you.

When you change the object name or other object data, you need not worry about existing connections: information about the object is automatically updated everywhere in the database.
