Home Map

The Home map is the place which should contain references to the objects All information in Vine is stored in the server database as named objects of different types. Examples: a company, a person, an event, a sales case. that are important and essential to all employees of your organization. Use it to inform the members of your company about new helpful information. It is also a good place to start using Vine.

The administrator sets the Home map, which can be used jointly by your company. Click the Home button on the Toolbar to open the Home map.

In Vine, map objects are used for visual organization and presentation of database objects. Vine Web does not work with graphic pictures and only shows names of objects placed on a Vine map.

A map window consists of the following panes:

• Map – gives a general description of the map

• Linked List In lists objects are represented by small icons and object names. Icons help you to recognize object types. Press a keyboard character (a letter or a digit) to jump to the list item that starts from this character. The first matching item will be chosen, counting from the top of the list. – lists Vine objects placed on the map in Vine

• Connections Vine objects are linked to each other by connections. Vine shows an object together with links to all objects directly connected to it. - lists objects connected to the map
