To protect a document, select the group name from the Visibility listIn lists objects are represented by small icons and object names. Icons help you to recognize object types. Press a keyboard character (a letter or a digit) to jump to the list item that starts from this character. The first matching item will be chosen, counting from the top of the list. in the edit form. Access to the document will be allowed only to the group you select.
It is advisable to store shared documents in the file server. Make a copy of the document and save it in a shared archive, then link it to the Vine document objectAll information in Vine is stored in the server database as named objects of different types. Examples: a company, a person, an event, a sales case.. Shared directories should be protected in a way that allows everyone in the workgroup to edit documents. The directory path of the document you are saving must be the same for every computer wherefrom it is accessed from Vine tools.
It is strongly recommended to use Vine Document Management to store and securely share documents within the organization using the central Vine database.
